Zach Hood Teams Up with ROSIE for New Song “Happy Ever After”
Nashville-based singer-songwriter Zach Hood teamed up with New York-based singer-songwriter ROSIE to release a new song “Happy Ever After” on October 4, 2024.
The song will appear on his upcoming debut album “Whispering Pines”, which is set to be released on November 15, 2024 via Arista Records.
This marks the first collaboration between Zach Hood and ROSIE.
The bittersweet song depicts two young romantics on the other side of a breakup, outwardly wishing their ex well, but actually feeling the opposite.
It was written by Rosaileen Scher, Sawyer Utah, Zach Hood, and Alex Hope who also produced the track.
Zach Hood said of the song, “‘Happy Ever After’ is about two people that were in a relationship, but ended up having a mutual breakup. This song is on the other side of that relationship and seeing things on social media, or hearing from someone that this person is doing so good without you in their life. In reality these people are both feeling like they’re missing something and they’re truly not happy without them. They both feel like it’s their fault the relationship didn’t work out, but they don’t speak or keep in contact with this person so they sit with the thoughts that they tell themselves.”- He continued, “ROSIE and I had a session back in June of this year. I had the lyric, ‘If it’s happy ever after, why am I not happy after losing you,” ready for the session. Weirdly enough, on the plane ride to Nashville, she also had written the lyric ‘Happy Ever After’ on a piece of paper without knowing I had done the same. If that’s not fate I don't know what is.”
ROSIE said, “‘Happy Ever After’ is about the feeling you get when you lose someone you thought you’d never lose. It was such a pleasure creating this song with Zach, and I’m honored to be a part of this track.” -
