Authority Zero Announces New EP “Thirty Years: Speaking to the Youth”, Shares New Song “Lights Out!”
American punk rock band Authority Zero, consisting of Jason DeVore (vocals), Mike Spero (bass), Brandon Landelius (guitar) and Chris Dalley (drums), has announced their upcoming EP “Thirty Years: Speaking to the Youth” will be released on November 1, 2024.
The EP is to celebrate their 30th anniversary and comprises 6 songs.
From the EP, the band has released the first single called “Lights Out!”.
The track was written by Brandon Landelius, Christopher Dalley, Jason Hunsaker, and Michael Spero. Produced by Cameron Webb. The accompanying music video was directed by Bryan Heiden.
The band wrote and recorded a dozen songs with producer Cameron Webb for 10 days and chose a 6-track for vinyl EP.
The band frontman Jason DeVore said of the EP, “'Thirty Years: Speaking to the Youth' is essentially about believing in yourself and fighting for what you believe in. Whatever that may be.”
He continued, “It's about the journey of this life and the awareness of it all. Each moment good or bad. If there's something that you love and feel a strong conviction about, don't be afraid to stand up and speak about it, fight for it, be heard, and ultimately live and embrace it in its entirety.”- Jason DeVore told OC Muisc News about the EP, “This year is our 30th anniversary and we knew we wanted to do something special. But we didn't want to rush a full album just to celebrate the anniversary. So, we got together and wrote for 10 days coming up with a dozen songs. Of those, we felt six were strong enough to be released on their own, so we decided to do a six-song vinyl EP. It's going to be called “30 Years: Speaking to The Youth” and it's going to drop November 1st.”
He continued “It's the first time all members (guitarist Brandon Landelius, bassist Mike Spero, and drummer Chris Dalley) have come together and collectively written an album together probably since 2006. We sat down as a band and worked collectively to write each song.” - source : Apple Music
