Perrie Releases New Song “You Go Your Way”
British singer-songwriter and former Little Mix member Perrie Edwards, aka Perrie released the third solo single called “You Go Your Way” on October 4, 2024, following “Forget About Us” and “Tears”.
Originally, the track was produced and released as an underground club single by London-based electronic duo Joy Anonymous, who played the song to Perrie during a writing session.
The song is inspired by a personal experience from her relationship with her fiancé, footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The track describes the time before Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain made their relationship official, capturing the moment where you have to be prepared to let someone go and live their life, hoping they will return one day.
It was written by Alfie Russel, Henry Counsell, Perrie. Produced by Alfie Russel and Joy.
The accompanying music video was directed by Charlie Di Placido.- "I told Alex, you go your way and I'll go mine and if it's meant to be we'll find each other again when I am back," Perrie said of the song. "He wasn't happy this idea and made our relationship official there and then! Fast forward 8 years and we are very happy, engaged and have our beautiful son. I truly believe if you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it's yours. If not it was never meant to be.”
