GRACEY Releases New Song “Rhetorical Questions”
Back in August, British singer-songwriter GRACEY was back with “Delirium” as an independent artist for the first time in two years.
She had parted ways with her former label, Polydor in January 2023.
Following the comeback song, she unveiled a new song “Rhetorical Questions” on October 2, 2024.
The track was written and produced by GRACEY, Magnus Lidehäll, Jacob Olofsson.
The accompanying music video was directed by Tony Tacheny, who also created the video for “Delirium”.
GRACEY said of the song, “The question ‘Who do you love?’ felt both romantic to me but also hints to a level of uncertainty and fear which I experienced when opening myself back up again. I got involved in the song’s production and wanted to continue that feeling on the track side too, which I think mostly comes with that heavy bass, giving the feeling of being hit with love and realising you’re in deep.”- She added, “This song went through so many different forms because i wanted it to feel both romantic, but also maintain a level of uncertainty and fear which you can feel if you’re someone falling in love again after a past heartbreak (in true gracey fashion lmao). I can swing between hyper confident to aggressively anxiously attached so fast, and let me tell you ‘who do you love’ really does hit different on different mindsets, regardless of the answer remaining the same. It felt like the perfect follow on from delirium to me and getting involved on the production side of it too just makes extra special to me.”
