JoJo Returns with New Song “Porcelain”
American singer-songwriter JoJo returned with a new song “Porcelain” on October 2, 2024.
The song is her first music in three years since the 2021 album “trying not to think about it”.
Also, it is the first release under her new label BMG.
The song samples American rapper Uncle Luke's 1992 classic “I Wanna Rock”.
Before the release of the song she issued her memoir “Over the Influence” on September 17, 2024.
The new single reflects the themes covered in her memoir, overcoming adversity and resilience.
The track was written by David J. Parks, David Williams II, Edwin Serrano, Harry Wayne Casey, Joanna Levesque, Luke Campbell, Rick Finch, and Theron Feemster. Produced by TheRon 'Neff-U' Feemster.
JoJo shared on social media, “It feels sounds like CATHARSIS. It's my first song release since 'trying not to think about it'. Renewal. Redemption. Removal of da fear and bullshit.”- After the release of “Over the Influence”, the book became New York Time's Bestseller.
JoJo said, “Thank you to every single person who came out to the book signings across America last week for Over the Influence. It's YOU who made it a New York Time's Bestseller (which I still cannot f-ing believe). It was so meaningful to me to be able to see you in person and talk about some of the themes in the book, and touch base with so many of you who have been by my side since I first started out as JoJo 20 years ago.
