  • FINNEAS Releases New Song “Lotus Eater”

  • American singer-songwriter and record producer FINNEAS will release his sophomore album “For Cryin' Out Loud!” this Friday (October 4th) via Interscope Records.

From the album, he released the third and final pre-release single called “Lotus Eater” on October 1, 2024.
The track was written by Aron Forbes, David Marinelli, Finneas O'Connell, Lucy Healy, Matthew Fildey, Miles Morris, and Sam Homaee. Produced by FINNEAS.
The accompanying music video was directed by Isaac Ravishankara, who also created the video for his previous songs “Cleats” and “For Cryin' Out Loud!”.
The new album is his first body of work in three years since the 2021 debut album “Optimist” and comprises 10 songs.

FINNEAS said of the album title, “I thought it was sort of vague and a fun thing that I said my whole life. And I thought the songs have a kind of exasperated vibe. There's a kind of a, like, argumentative vibe in the music. And I think, 'For Cryin' Out Loud!' is such a, like, thing you say in an argument. Like, it reminded me of something our parents have said to us our whole lives for crying out loud. I just thought it was like a cute sentiment. It's kind of got a double meaning. I like 'for' something.”
  • FINNEAS embarks on “For Cryin' Out Loud!” tour in support the album. Also, he is not going to his sister Billie Eilish's “Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour”.
The tour kicks off at Auckland Town Hall in Auckland, New Zealand on January 7, 2025, and will conclude at Live Music Hall in Cologne, Germany on May 9, 2025.

FINNEAS told Jack Saunders of BBC Radio 1 about the tour, “I mean, it's super bittersweet. The sort of pros are, it's been a when I started writing this album, I thought, Oh, I really do want to tour this album. I'm also like, really selfishly, really excited to sit and watch her show as a fan, like I've been looking at the back of her head for like, eight years. I haven't seen the show, and I've been trying not to mess up my parts and failing. So again like, from a selfish perspective, I was at rehearsal just like, wow, this is an amazing show. And I'll come out and play some songs, for sure, when I'm around. But I also get to really tour my album. And you know, we've only announced these three album release shows, but next year we're doing something in the in the name of like a world tour. So we'll really be around.”
