Charlie Rogers Releases New Song “Missed Calls”
Nashville-based country music singer-songwriter Charlie Rogers released his brand new song “Missed Calls” on September 27, 2024.
The song delves into the synergy between changing seasons and depression, transcending into a powerful message of self-reliance and finding comfort amid loneliness.
The track was written by Charlie Rogers and Nicole Frye. Produced by Jess Grommet.
“'Missed Calls' is a laid-back drive into what it's like to experience a depressive episode,” Charlie Rogers said of the song. “The idea for the song originated when my co-writer Frye and I were discussing the ways in which our seasonal depressions manifest themselves; along with what that looks and feels like.”- He shared on social media, “I am so beyond proud of this song & so grateful for THE ARMY that put their endless hard work into bringing this song to life & giving it legs to walk on! This song is deeply personal to me & is a message that I've wanted to convey for a long while. Mental health is so important & my aim with this song was to create a work that allowed those out there who find themselves facing a depressive episode head on that they are seen, heard, & that their experience & emotions are valid. I hope you will not only give the song a listen, but will also share it around to your friends & loved ones. Music is communal & it connects us all helping to bridge the gaps that misunderstand & preconception have built.”
