  • elijah woods Releases New EP “Hey There Elijah”

  • Toronto-based singer-songwriter elijah woods released his new EP “Hey There Elijah” on September 27, 2024.

The EP comprises 6 songs, including preceding singles “2 thousand 10”,“Sunlight!” and 4 new songs, produced by Andrew Goldstein, elijah woods, Jason Suwito and TMS.
The EP is a captivating exploration of life’s complexities, wrapped in a sound that's both comfortingly familiar and refreshingly new.
elijah woods offers an intimate window into the pivotal experiences that have shaped him over the past few years.
It seamlessly blends nostalgic pop soundscapes with edgy indie-rock undertones.

elijah woods said of the EP, "It's a blend of the emotions tied to turning 30, introspective lyrics about love, and personal stories, capturing everything I’ve been through in the last few years. Ultimately, this EP is my quest for maturity.”

He added, “This EP has been all about me checking in with myself, and finding home again.”
  • elijah woods explained about some tracks for the EP.

    “Elijah Wood”
“Honestly, that song was the starting point for the whole project. It began with the question, ‘Would you want to live a different life if you could?’ It sparked this existential journey of uncertainty but also self-discovery. Ultimately, this EP is my quest to understand myself and to embrace a new chapter of maturity.”

    “2 Thousand 10”
“When we made ‘2 thousand 10,’ I was feeling pretty detached from home, kind of lost, and looking for something familiar. the song reminds me of my childhood in so many ways, so it felt right to make a music video using my home videos. I scoured my parents’ places to find all the footage I could, and I’m proud to say I edited this lil baby myself.”

    “Sunlight!”
“This is the house I grew up in with my dad and brother. We had no power or running water or electricity, completely off the grid. I think it’s 350 square feet haha. I went back there a few months ago and shot the ‘Sunlight!’ video in it with my dad’s band and it brought back so many incredible memories of my childhood, and I thought there was no better visual context to this project.”
