Kiimi Releases New Song “Dance With Me”
London-based DJ Kiimi released a new song “Dance With Me” on September 27, 2024.
The song is the follow-up to “History” with Taite Imogen, which was released last month.
The track is inspired by the joyful sun-soaked energy of Ibiza, the place that catapulted Kiimi on their current path of success after winning a Radio 1 DJ competition last summer.
The track was written by Joseph Ashworth and Kimberley Emma Reader. Produced by Kiimi and Joseph Ashworth
Kiimi said of the song, “Last summer I experienced Ibiza for the first time after winning a DJ competition with BBC Radio 1. It opened my ears to a whole other world within dance music, an energy that resonated with me and sparked inspiration for ‘Dance With Me’. The sounds I used on the track are sun-kissed and joyful: a nod to the classic house and balearic textures that were influencing me at the time.”- They shared on social media, “I wrote this last year after experiencing Ibiza for the first time. It opened my eyes and ears to a whole new side of dance music and reminded me that there is so much out there beyond my little London electronic bubble. I wanted to make something sun-kissed, nostalgic and euphoric, and so ‘Dance With Me’ was born. Hope you enjoy and that it brings you a little sunny escape.”
