Cat Evers Releases New Song “Aphrodite”
Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Cat Evers released her brand new song “Aphrodite” on September 27, 2024.
The song is the follow-up to her her self-titled debut EP, which was released back in May.
The track explores themes of self-discovery and confidence.
She wrote the song during a writer's camp Cat attended in April of 2023 in upstate New York.
It was written and produced by Caitlyn Evers, Dominic Feil-Roots, and Ian Holmes.
The music video for the song, filmed in New York, will premiere later in October.- Cat Evers said of the song, “How many times have you felt like you're living multiple versions of yourself, and you can't find a way to bring them all together? Or felt like you've changed and grown into a new version of yourself, and can't fit back into the glove of the person you once were? For me, these past several years have been filled with change and growth, and most of the time, it's pretty uncomfortable. Aphrodite is about embracing this discomfort and finding confidence in a new identity, even if it means you have to convince yourself that that confidence even exists. I've learned over time that the more you tell yourself that one thing is true, the more likely you are to believe it.”
