Billie Zizi Releases New Song “Neon Dream”
Canadian singer-songwriter Billie Zizi released a new song “Neon Dream” along with a music video on September 12, 2024.
The song is the fourth single off of her upcoming album “Levitate”, which is set to be released on October 25, 2024.
The album is her first LP in eight years since the 2016 album “Moon of Honey” and comprises a 10-track.
She worked with co-producer Austin Parachoniak on the track.
The accompanying music video was directed by Marianne Watchel.
Billie Zizi said of the song, “I wrote this tune as a bridge for another song. But my co-producer, Austin Parachoniak, said that we should make it into its own song and I'm so happy he did. We recorded with no click and it kind of has a rawness and off-the-cuff emotional abandon that I really like. It's my favourite tune on the record for that reason. I love the simplicity of a single repeating refrain and Austin's solo is exactly the type of thing I'd love to hear at a late night festival set. The tune is about the spectre of loss that we all have and the ghost of love that lives in the dreamscape of the mind.”- Photo by Lyle Bell
