Bon Iver Announces New EP “SABLE,”, Shares New Song “S P E Y S I D E”
American indie folk band Bon Iver has announced their upcoming EP “SABLE,” will be released on October 18, 2024 via Jagjaguwar.
The EP comprises 4-track, which was recorded at April Base studio in Wisconsin between 2020 and 2023. The band frontman Justin Vernon produced the EP with Jim-E Stack. Rob Moose played viola.
The EP is their first project in five years since the 2019 album “I, I”. The EP title is named after near-blackness.
From the EP, the band released a new song “S P E Y S I D E” on September 20, 2024.
The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The accompanying music video was directed by Erinn Springer.
Justin Vernon first performed the song at a tiny show in his hometown of Eau Claire, Wisconsin in 2021.- Justin Vernon said of the song during a concert in London a couple years ago, “When I made this song, I was feeling a lot of guilt, which is an important emotion to have. It's also an important emotion to put yourself past. The day I wrote it, I got a little drunk on rum and sent it to a couple of friends who are here tonight. I'm thankful to have a friend to send a song to. You can't just put that shit on MySpace anymore!”
