Hugo Joyce Returns with New Song “False Hope”
London-based singer-songwriter Hugo Joyce returned with a new song “False Hope” on September 18, 2024.
The song is his first music in two years sine the 2022 single “We're Not Us”.
The track is a feel-good break-up anthem with a warm piano melody, gritty guitars and passionate, emotion-fuelled vocals that soar over a driving beat.
It was written by Hugo Joyce and Thomas Althorpe. Produced by Thomas Althorpe, Luke Burgoyne, and Loric Mathez.
Hugo Joyce said of the song, “The song is essentially based on a break up. I was with someone who didn’t feel the same way that I did and it’s about me slowly coming to a realisation that the relationship isn’t sustainable. It’s better to be by yourself than hold onto someone who doesn’t want you. I think the track is extremely positive and almost inspires you to go out and take what you want!”- Photo by Jonathon Wykes
