Polly Returns with New Song “Eyes On The Road”
Danish pop singer-songwriter Polly returned with a new song “Eyes On The Road” on September 13, 2024.
The song is her first music in two years since the 2022 debut album “Invitation”. It marks both a personal and musical new beginning for the 28-year-old singer .
The track is inspired by the 1991 film “Thelma & Louise” directed by Ridley Scott.
She recorded with Eigil Fauerskov (guitar), Julius Lykke (bass) and Tobias Laust (drums), written and produced in collaboration with Casper Muuns and Anton True Klüver.
Polly said of the song, “I was in the middle of a huge heartbreak, completely devastated and consumed with sorrow, when I saw the movie, 'Thelma & Louise', one night. I remember I went to bed and got up the next day, overwhelmed by a strong, powerful energy and desire to just run away, without looking back, to escape from what once was and to be together with those who really matter to me.”- She continued, “For me, road tripping has always been a very special, intimate space. 'Eyes on the Road' enters this space. It's about having renewed faith in tomorrow and all the adventures that are waiting to be explored. It's about friendship and how this particular space between two people can make everyday worries disappear while some of the most meaningful conversations happen.”
