NOCUI Releases New Song “One Life”
Berlin-based music producer NOCUI released the fourth single called “One Life” from his upcoming debut album “Italian Robot” on September 13, 2024.
The song is a yearning for human connection in an age saturated with digital influence and a call to examine the preciousness of life itself.
The track was written and produced by Leonardo Di Fiore.
NOCUI said of the song, “The title says it all: ONE LIFE. That's all we have, and I wanted a robotic voice to remind us of the most human and valuable thing we possess. We seem to be so concerned about everything in life except for time and life itself. We too easily take for granted the only thing that is truly scarce: life itself. All the rest is nothing more than games... really. The machines that surround us are detaching us more and more from our surroundings. Perhaps one day, the machines themselves will develop a 'gratitude for life' , a feeling so fundamental yet increasingly elusive in our modern world.”- NOCUI shared on social media, “There are so many moments in this track that I'm sooo proud of. I needed a robot voice to remind us to be grateful about life, it seems that we need robots to remind us about everything nowadays... Heavily influenced by my early love for synthesised vocals dating back from the 80s all the way to Daft Punk... On this one I explore how much I can bend the paradigm modern of electronic music.”

The debut album is a three-part conceptual story inspired by the artist's background in neuroscience delving deep into the complex nexus of technology, society, and human existence.
It is set to be released on November 8, 2024 via his own label Shapeless Culture.
