Fly By Midnight Releases New Song “Casablanca”
Los Angeles-based alt-pop duo Fly By Midnight, consisting Justin Bryte and Justin Slaven, released their brand new single called “Casablanca” on September 13, 2024,
The song is the follow-up to three songs “SuperFine”, “The Weather”, and “Try”, which were released as “The Race Lap 1/3” back in July.
The track was written by Justin Breit snd Justin Slaven. Produced by Slavo.
The duo said of the song, “A song can mean a lot of different things to us and to you. As we’ve continued to tour it’s been really rewarding to hear how certain tracks of ours have resonated and sometimes have become the bond that brings people together. Simply put, this song is a toast. Celebrating the emotion of wanting to spend your life alongside someone else. We hope it brings some escape & positivity. here’s to looking at you.”- Last year, the duo released their fourth studio album “Fictional Illustrations” and wrapped The Thrill US tour in May 2024.
And then, the duo started to craft their new music again.
Last month, the duo shared, “After we wrapped The Thrill US tour in May (which surpassed our expectations, thanks to you) we arrived back home, slept for 3 days straight and then asked each other 'all right, what’s next?'” -
They continued, “Over coffees & soppressata sandwiches, we both quickly agreed. Press pause on touring for a minute so we can really enjoy writing this next wave of music. As much as playing shows and meeting y’all is everything, we knew to create how we want to continue creating we needed to embody that studio rat mindset we used to feel during our earliest days of working back on Staten Island. during this time we’ll be exploring new narratives, sounds, designs, brands, collaborators & more all while being able to wake up in our own beds and spend time with our families. We don’t take our lives and the jobs you’ve given us for granted. we have a lot more creating to do and we’ve never been in a better place to do it.” - source : Apple Music
