  • Fousheé Premieres New Song “feel like home” on BBC Radio 1

  • Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Fousheé will release her upcoming sophomore album “Pointy Heights” this Friday (September 13).

From the album, she premiered a new song “feel like home” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is the fourth and final pre-release single from the album.
The track was written by Benjamin Saint Fort, Britanny Foushee, Jean Baptiste Kouame, Juan Almeida, and Michael McHenry. Produced by BNYX, Days of 1993, and Jean Baptiste.

“Produced by BNYX and this is a manifestation of love song from the song,” Fousheé told Jack Saunders about the song. “I wrote this song when I came back from tour and I was walking around Paris and daydreaming. And I said, I'm not angry anymore, like I want to write about love. And I was just listening to tired of being alone. Al Green on the loop. I said, I want to make something like this, something that lasts forever, something that is lighter. So I sent that to BNYX as a reference. And when I came back, we had a session, and you played this beat and these words just kind of came out.”
  • The new album comprises a 10-track, produced by BNYX, Fousheé, 1993, Jean Baptiste, Karriem Riggins, Sir Dylan, Solomonophonic and Steve Lacy.
The album title is named after the land her grandfather purchased in Jamaica, with the intention that her whole family could build homes and live there.

Fousheé said of the album, “Pointy Heights is a tiny drop of a town one mile long. It's like 30 minutes from Kingston. And it's named after my grandfather, who bought this land and built all the family houses on this land. And it's a really tight knit community of people that I went back to after having not gone for a long time.”
