Temples Announces New EP “Other Structures”, Shares New Song “Day Of Conquest”
British rock band Temples, consisting of James Edward Bagshaw (lead vocals/lead guitar), Adam Thomas Smith (rhythm guitar), Thomas Edward James Walmsley (bass) and Rens Ottink (drums), has announced their upcoming EP “Other Structures” will be released “Other Structures” on October 14, 2024.
The EP is a collection celebrating the 10th anniversary of their 2014 debut album “Sun Structures”.
The EP comprises a 6-track, including 4 unreleased song and two remixed tracks.
From the EP, the band released a new song “Day Of Conquest” on September 10, 2024.
The track was written by Thomas Walmsley, and James Bagshaw who also produced it.
The accompanying music video was directed by Anna Barber.
“'Day of Conquest' was part of the Sun Structures album demos, and it probably would have been on the album, but we ran out of run time on the LP,” the band lead singer James Bagshaw said of the song. “I remember being fond of this song, and it was a pleasant surprise to go back and unearth the sonic layering. I love how the sections contrast in an interesting way, and the fact there isn't really a chorus!”- The band shared on social media, “On October 4th we're dropping a new EP called 'Other Structures'! This will be a collection of never released music from our Sun Structures demos, along with some new remixes made with friends. Today we have released “Day Of Conquest” which was a part of our demos but never made it onto the final record. It was a pleasant surprise to go back and unearth the sonic layering of it, so we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
