Rubina Releases New Song “I Fear”
New York-based Iranian-Canadian singer-songwriter Rubina released her brand new single called “I Fear” on September 6, 2024.
The song is the fourth single of 2024, following “Something To Listen To”, “Dangerous”, and “Hate He.
She wrote the song during the COVID-19 pandemic. The track delves into themes of solitude and the fear of an uncertain future. Produced by Tucker Andrew.
Rubina said of the song, “'I Fear' is a song I wrote right in the thick of COVID. Stuck in my room, the world felt frozen, and I was terrified of this lonely future we seemed to be headed toward. This song captures the endless isolation, the slow passing of time, and the fear of what tomorrow might bring - it's me, unfiltered, sharing that deep sense of uncertainty and the struggle to find meaning in it all.”- She shared on social media, “I wrote it when I was 16, in the middle of a time that felt like the world was standing still. I was alone, terrified, and everything felt uncertain. covid19 had stripped away all the things that made life feel safe, familiar. And for the first time, I had no idea what the future held. That emptiness? That fear? It was overwhelming.”
She continued, “Now, years later, that feeling still creeps back in sometimes, and I knew it was time to bring this song back to life. To let it breathe again. I hope it resonates with you.
