BERRIES Releases New Song “Balance”
London-based rock trio BERRIES, consisting of Holly Carter (vocals/guitar), Lauren Cooper (bass) and Lexi Clark (drums), released the second single called “Balance” from their upcoming self-titled second album on September 6, 2024.
The new album is set to be released on October 18, 2024 via Xtra Mile Recordings.
The song features an acoustic sound unlike the previous song “Watching Wax”.
The track was written by Holly Carter, Lauren Cooper, and Lexi Clark. Produced by Antony Smith.
The band said of the song, “Balance talks of those promises we make ourselves. Filling our time with things we want to do, not just need to do. It’s quite easy to get caught up in busy schedules, rushing around with busy brains but this song reminds us to stop and take it all in.”- The new album comprises a 10-track and is their first body of work in two years.
The band said of the album, “This album is about battling intrusive thoughts and finding contentment in your day, however big or small those moments are. It’s a journey to finding your own space and being comfortable in it. We haven’t held back with this album - it's raw, honest, and a true reflection of BERRIES.”
They worked with Adrian Bushby, who took on mixing duties for the record.
The band added, “We really pushed ourselves creatively and out of our comfort zone, especially with the acoustic track and working with mixing engineer Adrian Bushby. We’re super proud of what we’ve written and created.” -
