Norwegian singer-songwriter Astrid S performed “It's Ok If You Forget Me” at Øyafestivalen 2024 in Oslo, Norway on August 9, 2024.
The song was released as the third single from her debut album “Leave It Beautiful” in September 2020.
The debut album reached No. 2 on the Norway Albums chart.
The track was written by Astrid Smeplass, Caroline Pennell, Jakob Hazell, and Svante Halldin.
When she released the song, Astrid S said of the song, “I woke up one day and thought 'Is this what breakups supposed to feel like?' After writing this song we were listening back to the demo before leaving the studio, but right when the song ended I started crying!! It's a process and it definitely hits at some point. At least I got to write this song with some of my favorite people and I'm really glad I get to share it with all of you.”- Following the debut album, Astrid S released her sophomore album Joyride back in May via Universal and Island Records.
The album comprises a 9-track and reached No. 10 on the Norway Albums chart.
Astrid S said of the album, “The pieces fell into place after I wrote the first song, Joyride. It's a road trip album and a tribute to childhood memories and all the hours in the car with dad.”
