Cyn Releases New Song “Be Like Her”
American singer-songwriter Cyn will release the first half of her upcoming debut album “Valley Girl” entitled “Valley Girl - Side A: Lost On Laurel” on September 6, 2024.
From the album, she released a new song “Be Like Her” on August 16, 2024.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “I Don't Care” released back in July.
The official lyric video for the song was released on September 3, 2024.
The track was written by Cynthia Nabozny, David Dahlquist, and Evan Voytas. Produced by Kill Dave.
The song is inspired by American actor Mark Hamill.
Cyn shared, “I'm just thinking about that little girl, up late, watching Star Wars on repeat.. feeling some kind of connection to Luke Skywalker. Thank you Mark Hamill for being a friend to her! She really needed it.”- Cyn said of the song, “When I was developing the idea for my new song 'Be Like Her' I was thinking about examples of immaculacy, signs that maybe someone has made it… Mark came to mind! Being his neighbor would certainly mean 'making it' in my book! Thanks again, Mark, for being a great example of what staying on the light side of the force looks like. I always think of you and what Yoda taught you when I'm up against something challenging (i actually do say to myself 'what would Yoda think if he were watching?' lol!). I know it's only fiction, but isn't it so funny how it all really does translate into our real lives?”
