MAGLY Returns with New Song “Honesty”
Danish indie pop singer-songwriter MAGLY returned with a new song “Honesty” on August 30, 2024.
The song is the her first music in a year since the 2023 singles “I Don't Feel Fine” and “Convenience”.
Also, it is the first release as an independent artist.
The track was written by Celine Svanbäck, Ditte Bissenbacker, Jeppe London who also produced it.
The accompanying music video was directed by Jeppe London.
MAGLY said of the song, “A good relation between people comes with trust – a safe space to always be honest, even if it hurts. By covering up the truth you betray the trust and break the bond between you. It happened to me and 'Honesty' is my own experience and the sudden ending of what I considered a mutual strong and important relationship. All the promises we made turned into misunderstandings and lies, eventually leading to self-loathing.”
She continued, “'Honesty' is my way to regain strength and belief in myself. A note to self - and everyone listening to the song - to always speak the truth and be honest, at least to yourself.”- MAGLY shared on social media, “This song means a lot. When I wrote it with Celine and Jeppe 6 months ago i immediately knew that it should be the next single. It was easy to write, cuz I was so much in my feelings the day when we wrote it, and everything I was going through at the time just came through. I remember it was so nice to get it out of my system. Also, It's my first release on my own, as an independent artist and it's pretty scary but also pretty cool. Enough for now.”
