Neacal Releases New Song “Out of Control”
Belgrade-based singer-songwriter Neacal released the second single called “Out of Control” from his upcoming debut album “Stranger from Long Ago” on August 16, 2024.
The album comprises a 9-track and is set to be released on October 11, 2024 via Neacal Music.
The song moves away from the whimsy and wonder of their debut song “The Bell” released last month, and toward a far more somber emotional landscape.
A wintery ballad with cinematic strings and heartfelt horns, the song's instrumental arrangement provides an intricate yet delicate vessel for his poignant vocals, brimming with emotion as he sings about pulling oneself out of a dark place.
The track was written and produced by Neacal. The accompanying music video was directed by Matthieu Gill.- Neacal said of the song, “This song was born during one of my most severe episodes of depression, but despite that fact, it's a hymn of hopefulness and acceptance. Here my suppressed part expresses its realisation that it is not going to dissolve into nothingness as previously expected, and that there's a chance it will gain life and freedom along the way. In 'Out of Control', it finds itself still lurking in the shadows, but now it inevitably crawls towards the light, even if that might be the light of an explosion. Things will get better, even if they might get worse before that happens.”

Neacal started his artistic career as a founder of one of the most known instrumental progressive/post-rock bands from Eastern Europe, boasting nearly 5 million streams across platforms and tours across Europe and Asia, along with writing original soundtracks for a few video games.
He redefined his sound, crafting orchestral pop songs as a means to navigate through trauma and reinvent his musical language.
