Reading & Leeds 2024 took place in Reading, Berkshire and Leeds, West Yorkshire from August 21 to August 25, 2024. The event aired on BBC Radio 1.
More than 90,000 people have descended on Reading weekend. But three stages were closed during Friday's opening due to high winds.
This year, main stage headliners included Lana Del Rey, Blink-182, Fred Again.., Liam Gallagher, Catfish And The Bottlemen, and Gerry Cinnamon
Other performances included RAYE, Bleachers, Spiritbox, Fontaines D.C., Crawlers, Reneé Rapp, Pendulum, Denzel Curry, Kenny Beats, Nia Archives, Two Door Cinema Club, Neck Deep, The Wombats, Rachel Chinouriri, Hak Baker, The Last Dinner Party, METTE and more.- In the wind and rain, Liam Gallagher said, “This one's for the tents,” before performing Oasis's “Up in the Sky”, and Fred Again.. told the audience, “You're the biggest set of troopers we've ever played to at a festival.”
Also, RAYE told the crowd, “It's always been a dream to play this festival and I didn't think we would start off on the mainstage with all these people here. So this is fucking crazy.” - source : BBC Radio 1
