Pixie Lott Premieres New Song “Midnight Trash” on BBC Radio 2
British singer-songwriter Pixie Lott premiered a new song “Midnight Trash” on BBC Radio 2 with DJ Spoony.
The song is the second single off of her upcoming fourth studio album “Encino”, following “Somebody's Daughter” released back in June.
The album is set to be released on September 27, 2024 via BMG.
The track was written by Peter Zizzo and Pixie Lott. Produced by Peter Zizzo and Thomas Mitchener.
Pixie Lott said of the song, “It's about breaking up with insomnia and I hope you love it. This is one of my favourites to perform live.”- The new album comprises a 13-track, produced by Dave Gibson, Jeeve, Peter Zizzo, Stuart Crichton and Thomas Mitchener.
This marks her first album in a decade since the 2014 self-titled album and the first release under her new label BMG.
The album title is named after the neighbourhood where it was crafted in Los Angeles.
Pixie Lott said of the album, “I can't believe it's been 10 years since my last album, but I'm so excited to be back doing what I love the most. I'm taking risks this time. Previously, I've gone in the direction others have envisioned for me but nobody really ever pushed me to try the things I wanted. It's scary but I'm going with my heart now – I want to show other sides of myself. I've always wanted to do something with a timeless, classic sound that could be played at any point in time.” - source : BBC Radio 2
