Kacia Releases New Song “Living It Out”
British alt-pop singer-songwriter Kacia released the fifth single called “Living It Out” from his upcoming debut album “What is Life is Just a Movie?” on August 20, 2024.
The album is expected to be released in 2024.
Kacia co-wrote and co-produced the song with producer Matthew Fisher.
The longtime friends create a mature approach, emphasising Kacia’s self-growth as he processes each stage of grief following a relationship gone sour.
The accompanying music video was directed by Tom Knibbs.
In the clip, Kacia returns to the location of his previous visual “Night Out”, a nod to the telling of time and how life continues to go on either way.
Kacia said of the song, “What’s exciting about this record is that it’s genuinely matured alongside me. It’s followed me from being 17 and that transitional period of change, to being 22 and about to graduate from university. I’m so proud of ‘Living it Out’ as it’s a song that sums up a lot of emotions for me and it’s one that I look back at and think about what such a pivotal moment this was for me growing up and understanding the reality of relationships and how things change. It’s one for all those that are young and dealing with first experiences of heartbreak.”- He continued, “In terms of its writing process, it was such an organic song to write, sometimes I have to sit there and think about the direction a track needs to go in and I end up with 30 versions of it before I’m even remotely attached to it, but “Living it Out” was one that came about very quickly and it’s structure was immediate. I knew exactly where it needed to go. It only feels right to have this song out now as it’s in perfect correlation to what we’ve been building up to and what we’ve already achieved.”

He said of the video, “The ‘Living it Out’ video returns to the same location as before but explores a completely new context, and is the first solo music video I’ve done. My aim throughout this project has been to tell one long short story and this video really begins to piece things together, picking up from where I left off after ‘Drifting Apart’ I’m really looking forward to sharing this, and exploring where the story goes next!!”
