Tinashe Releases New Album “Quantum Baby”
American singer-songwriter Tinashe released her seventh studio album “Quantum Baby” on August 16, 2024 via her own label Tinashe Music and Nice Life Recording Company.
The album is the second installment of a trilogy of “BB/Ang3l” series, following the 2023 album “BB/Ang3l”. It is also referred to as “BB/Ang3l Pt. 2 - Quantum Baby”.
The album comprises a 8-track, including preceding singles “Nasty” and “Getting No Sleep”, produced by Nosaj Thing, Billy Lemos, sdtroy, John Alexis, LIOHN, Z3N, Jorgen Odegard, Phoelix, Ricky Reed, and Zack Sekoff.
Tinashe said of the album, “Quantum Baby is about getting to know me on a deeper level. It's about exploring who I am as a person and who I am as an artist. I've never been one to be put into a box, so the name 'Quantum Baby' encompasses all the different parts that make up who I am as a creative.”- She added, “Like the Quantum Paradox, at my deepest, most essential core level are so many mysteries and contradictions. Bridging the gap between confidence and vulnerability is the human experience& my favorite kind of art.”
She told Apple Music, “I'm just trying to live in the moment as much as possible and not focus on that, because these moments don't happen every day. And I hope that my continued hard work [can help me] maximize on it as much as we possibly can. We stay the course.” - Back in April, Tinashe told PAPER Magazine about the album, “BB/ANG3L was always intended to be a trilogy. I wanted to release it in three parts just to give people a real sense of what every section meant and really allow them all to marinate. Sometimes you create music and it just gets consumed so quickly. You spend years working on this art. And so I wanted to pace myself in how I was releasing and drop it in three parts.”
