colby! Releases New Song “Gone To Bed”
American singer-songwriter colby! released the second single called “Gone To Bed” on August 16, 2024.
The song follows up the debut song “Don't Know What To Say”, which was released back in May.
Both songs will appear on her upcoming 6-track debut EP, which is set to be released in November 2024.
She wrote and recorded the song with her brother and producer Robert Sutherland Johnson Jr.
colby! said of the song, “'Gone To Bed' is about two people in a relationship who hold back, scared of liking each other too much. Both believe the other deserves better, so they avoid bringing up their true feelings. Despite living in a constant state of confusion and regret, they stay together, always wishing they had expressed more.”- colby! is from Fort Worth, Texas. At 14, colby! began co-writing music with her producer and brother, RJ Johnson, a Berklee College of Music graduate.
Together, they create songs that resonate deeply with listeners and her music offers a blend of pop and alternative sounds, drawing inspiration from artists like Fiona Apple, Amy Winehouse, and Lily Allen.
She released the debut song “Don't Know What To Say” on May 31, 2024.
She explained about her music, “My goal is to create music that people can scream in their car to, providing an escape from discouraging situations.” -
