Annabel Gutherz Releases New Song “Showtime, Baby!”
Montreal-based singer-songwriter Annabel Gutherz released her brand new single called “Showtime, Baby!” on August 16, 2024.
The song is the follow-up to “Shame”, which was released back in April.
The track delves into the duality between her desire for validation and her need for genuine connection, combining classic rock sounds with modern pop melodies.
Annabel Gutherz shared, “With a question I’ve returned to often: Do I live for myself or do I live for others?”
She wrote the song with producers Mikal Blue and Bret 'Epic' Mazur as with the previous song “Shame”.
Annabel Gutherz said of the song, “If life is a stage, am I always performing? This is a central question in 'Showtime, Baby!,' where I explore the tension between living authentically for myself and living to meet others' expectations. It addresses the fray of seeking approval and belonging while striving to be truly seen and understood for who I am.
