Mary Elle Releases New Song “Movie Ticket”
Czech Republic-based singer-songwriter Mary Elle released her brand new single called “Movie Ticket” on August 16, 2024.
The song is the second single of 2024, following “Serotonin” released last month.
Both songs will appear on her upcoming debut EP, which is expected to be released later this year.
She wrote the song with producer Gregory Darling at just 14 years old.
The track narrates a sudden yet anticipated breakup, conveying a message of growing from grief and finding yourself even in the hardest of times, while emitting a light-hearted, empowering, and freeing sound.
Mary Elle said of the song, “It relates to the narrative and how even though letting that person go was painful, it was needed in order for her to find a sense of freedom and find out that she’s the main character of her own story, not someone else’s.”- Producer Gregory Darling said of Mary Elle, “Looking forward to sharing this gem of an artist in Mary Elle. We started working together just a few years ago, and crafted this song “Movie Ticket” when she was only 14 years old. She’s got a great knack for story telling, a great sense for melody and vocals which are mesmerizing and deeply honest.”
He continued, “Most of todays artists like to take credit for crafting their own material, but I will tell you this, Mary Elle has developed into a proper songwriter in her own right, and it gives me great pleasure to collaborate with such a genuine writer and more importantly, a genuine human being.
