Keo Releases New Song “Crow”
London-based alt-rock band Keo, consisting of Finn Keogh (vocals, guitar), Conor Keogh (bass), Oli Spackman (drums) and Jimmy Lanwern (guitar), released a new song “Crow” on August 16, 2024 via SoundCloud.
The song is the follow-up to “Fly”, which was released back in May.
The band recorded the song to tape in March 2024 at 123 Studios in Peckham with Brett Shaw.
A soul-bearing exploration of familial love, despair and ultimately, hope - principle lyricist and lead vocalist Finn Keogh's impassioned, melodic songwriting is juxtaposed against a backdrop of mounting instrumental fury.
The track was written by Finn Keogh, and produced by Brett Shaw and Keo.
The band frontman Finn Keogh said of the song, “Crow's lyrics share a perspective on time and recall the anxiety I felt when a loved one was suffering with cancer, whom is now thankfully clear of it. I've always been a spiritual person looking for meaning in everything. Sometimes, perhaps to the point of it being unproductive, in that I often see things as a sign of what's to come. Crow is a recollection of the fear and pain I had at the time when they were ill, and now of being grateful for them being in the clear but still anxious that the illness may return.
