Casii Stephan Releases New Song “Without A Box”
Tulsa-based singer-songwriter Casii Stephan released her brand new song “Without A Box” on August 16, 2024.
The song is the fourth single and final pre-release single from her upcoming EP “Relationship Status”, which is set be released later this summer.
On the EP, Casii Stephan writes her songs honestly, from the depths of her emotions, with lyrics that pushback on negative societal norms like sexism, ageism and “playing nice” as a woman.
The new track was written by Casii Alexandra-Sondra Stephan, and produced by Amira Al-Jiboori, Jon Davis, and Spencer Duncan.
Casii Stephan said of the song, "This song is about realizing that life doesn't stop and end with our relationship statuses. We don't need them to define us. As a song, I've written out my need to know and control the future. I love to know things. I want to see how the story ends before it starts and in life, you don't get that. You have to let go and be willing to start over. Life was never meant to be lived in a box."- She shared on social media, “It's me exploring some folk-pop vibes and also leaning into my love of elements and what they mean to me. Water is always so inspirational to me. It's always moving. Change is always happening. Sometimes we just need to let go and float.”
