Grace VanderWaal Returns with New Song “Call It What You Want”
American singer-songwriter Grace VanderWaal returned with a new song “Call It What You Want” on August 16, 2024.
This song is her first music in year since “Boyfriends”, which was released last July.
Also, it is the first release under her new label Pulse Records, who announced to sign with Grace VanderWaal on August 14, 2024.
Grace VanderWaal said, “I'm very excited about this next chapter and feel confident that PULSE Records and I are going to create so much magic.”
The song will appear on her upcoming album, which is expected to be released in Spring 2025.
The track was written by Grace VanderWaal, and John Samuel Gerhart who also produced it.
The accompanying music video was directed by Francesca Maldonado.- Grace VanderWaal said of the song, “Call it what you want is a story between two people in denial. A romanticized justification in pursuit of avoiding the truth at all cost 'this isn't real'...There's also a sense of desperation, this is this precious thing that I must control and hide, we binge our love at night.”
In additionally, Grace VanderWaal will appear on Francis Ford Coppola's film “Megalopolis”, set to be released on September 27, 2024.
