Halsey Premieres New Song “Lonely is the Muse” on BBC Radio 1
American singer-songwriter Halsey premiered a new song “Lonely is the Muse” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is the third release from an as-yet-unannounced forthcoming fifth studio album, following “The End” and “Lucky” released in June and last month, respectively.
She teased the song at Sziget Festival 2024 at Óbuda Island in Budapest, Hungary on August 8, 2024.
Following the festival, she first performed the song during her secret show at Koko in London on August 14, 2024.
This marks she first played at Koko in nine years since the 2015 performance in support of debut album “Badlands”.
The track was written by Halsey and Stuart Price. Produced by Austin Corona, Wyatt Bernard, and Brandon Buttner.
Sonically, the track features rock sound unlike the previous song “Lucky”.
Halsey said of the song at Sziget Festival 2024, “For every Halsey pop song, there's a Halsey rock song to match... I like to do both, so I feel like I shouldn't have to choose.”- Photo by Sarah Pardini
