Sierra Spirit Announces Debut EP “coin toss”, Shares New Song “bleed you”
American singer-songwriter Sierra Spirit Kihega's solo project Sierra Spirit has announce her debut EP “coin toss” will be released on October 10, 2024 via Giant Music.
Hailing from Oklahoma, the home of both her tribes (Otoe-Missouria and The Keetoowah Band of Cherokees) she draws from her lived experience and cultural background as part of the Native community.
From loss, to love, to transparency about mental health, the EP tells a story of the raw and honest struggles of growing up.
From the EP, she released a new song “bleed you” on August 14, 2024.
The track was written by Sierra Spirit Kihega, Aaron Taos Steinberg, Jonathan Buscema who also produced it.
The accompanying music video was directed by Pierce Pyrzenski.- Sierra Spirit said of the song, “Have you ever loved someone to the point that it scares you? You take the worst parts of them into account in an effort to make that feeling go away. But the harder you try the closer, the stronger you're pulled in. This love grows to near obsession to the point that you want to consume their mind, body, and soul. You want in their skin and in their head. Nothing is close enough and no amount of their attention is good enough - you'll always want more.”
