  • Hinds Releases New Song “The Bed, The Room, The Rain and You”

  • Madrid-based indie rock band Hinds, consisting of Carlotta Cosials (vocals/guitar), Ana García Perrote (vocals/guitar), Paula Ruiz (bass) and Maria Lázaro (drums), will release their upcoming fourth studio album “Viva Hinds” on September 6, 2024.

This marks is their first album in four years since the 2020 album “The Prettiest Curse”.
Also, it is the first release after leaving bassist Ade Martin and drummer Amber Grimbergen in 2022.
The new members Paula Ruiz and Maria Lázaro joined in the band in 2023.
From the album, the band released the fifth and final pre-release single called “The Bed, The Room, The Rain and You” on August 14, 2024,
The track was written by Ana Perrote, Carlotta Cosials, and Sean Silverman. Produced by Pete Robertson.

The band said of the song, “It's a love song that has nothing to do with being with the other person or even whether it is reciprocated. We're talking about the most simple version of it. Love is like a magic shelter that you can take everywhere with you.”
  • The accompanying music video was directed by Hinds.
They said of the video, “We started this adventure of directing all the music videos of this album with a bag full of imagination and dreams. the friends, the bikes, the dancing, a business that never existed, the body guards of beck, and ice-creams, hollywood, and surrealism and tiny houses. very slowly we wanted to guide you and place your attention in what we really do: music. For 'The Bed, The Room, The Rain and You,' we wanted to finish the story with where everything started: recording the album.”

  • The new album comprises a 10-track, featuring guest appearances from American singer-songwriter Beck and Irish singer-songwriter Grian Chatten, produced by Pete Robertson.
The band recorded the album in rural France.

The band member Carlotta Cosials said of the album, “This isn't a rational album, this is made with emotions, in no specific order. We never sat down to think what we should write about, we sat down to write about what we were going through. We didn't choose a 'new look,' we didn't wanna pretend to be mature, or appear as a more sophisticated band. To me it is cohesive, but it's not a fairy tale or a brainy narrative. It's heart-driven.”
