Alison Moyet Releases New Song “Filigree (Key Version)”
British singer-songwriter Alison Moyet released a new single “Filigree (Key Version)” on August 9, 2024.
The song was re-recorded as a new version for her upcoming tenth studio album “Key”, which is set to be released on October 4, 2024.
The original version of the song is featured on her the eighth solo “The Minutes”, which was released in 2013.
The track was written by Alison Moyet and Guy Sigsworth. Produced by Sean Mcghee.
Alison Moyet said of the song, “Sometimes in life, we are met with the overwhelming urge to leave, losing faith that the next corner reveals a gift of light. It takes the dark to name it. Joy is like a mayfly. It comes for minutes at a time. That’s what makes it remarkable.”- The new album celebrates her 40th anniversary as a solo artist.
The album contains 16 reworked songs from her solo catalog along with two brand new tracks.
She worked with producer Sean McGhee on the album.
