  • Nathalie King Releases New Song “You”

  • Toronto-based singer-songwriter Nathalie King released the second single called “You” from her upcoming debut EP “PTSD” on August 9, 2024, following “More”.

The song is about the many thick layers that people wear to protect themselves from a harsh world. Underneath all that is the vulnerable soft inner child that just wants to belong, be accepted and loved.
The song's intimacy is achieved through vocals and piano alone, sharing its message without big production.
The track was written by Joseph Paris John Snook, Joseph Salusbury, and Nathalie Kraemer. Produced by Joseph Snook.

Nathalie King said of the song, “I'm so excited to be sharing this with all of you. It's the second single of my debut EP 'PTSD' and it's a very intimate, quiet song about the inner, most softest version of ourselves, underneath all the thick layers of protection we put on in a harsh world.”
  • She continued, “I truly hope you'll enjoy You when you have a quiet moment and that you can feel the message behind the song, and that perhaps it'll touch your soul. To me it felt good to write it out and cry my heart out as I decided to write about my healing journey and struggles of childhood trauma and PTSD. Wishing this track a beautiful journey.”

  • The debut EP is expected to be released in October 2024.
Nathalie King said of the EP, “I've been writing songs as a therapeutic means to overcome childhood trauma and depression throughout my life. Working in the studio together in Toronto, PTSD has a more electronic and UK sound to it thanks to the contributions of Bristol born producer Joseph Snook.”
