Julia Raye Releases New Song “Give You Up”
New York-based singer-songwriter Julia Raye released a new song “Give You Up” on August 9, 2024.
The song is her second single of 2024, following “Expectations” released back in June.
It was written by Dalton Cyr, Julia Raye DeLuca, and Bret 'Epic' Mazur who also produced the track.
Julia Raye said of the song, “It's a song about that one guy who you know is bad for you but you can't help falling for. You can really hear the range of emotions play out in real time. It's confident, sassy, fun, and honest.”- Hailing from Long Island, New York, 23-year-old Julia Raye has been performing for as long as she can remember.
She grew up taking dance classes, singing, and performing in local musical theater productions.
By age 17, she had performed in over twenty musical theatre shows along with performances with the New York All State Choir and ACDA All National Choir. She went on to study vocal performance at the University of Michigan where she was able to learn from George Shirley, a pioneer in the opera world who became the first African-American to perform at the Metropolitan Opera. -
