Zedd Releases New Song “Lucky” featuring Remi Wolf
Russian-German DJ Zedd released the second single called “Lucky” from his upcoming third studio album “Telos” on August 9, 2024.
This time, he recruited American singer-songwriter Remi Wolf for the track.
The new album is set to be released on August 30, 2024.
This marks the first collaboration between Zedd and Remi Wolf.
They first performed the song during Zedd's headlining Perry's Stage Lollapalooza Festival on August 3, 2024.
Remi Wolf wrote the song five years ago, but was unfinished it.
Zedd and Remi Wolf resumed writing the song earlier this year.
Zedd said of the song, “Lucky couldn't have happened without Remi. Five years ago she wrote the first verse and chorus, but had no intention of staying on it. Earlier this year, I invited Remi to the studio to play her the Telos Album which changed her mind and she decided to stay on the song. We got to work on the second verse and it completely brought the song to life - no one else could sing it as amazing as she does.”- The new album “Telos” is his first LP in nearly a decade since the 2015 album “True Colors” and comprises a 10-track.
The first single “Out of Time” featuring Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Bea Miller was released bak in June.
Zedd said of the album, “With Telos, I wanted to create a profound album listening experience that takes you on a journey beyond just the songs. I wanted everyone to be able to feel a deeper emotional connection, like how I felt listening to my favourite albums when I was growing up. It was the details, transitions and cohesiveness that made me want to create a truly meaningful body of work.” -
He continued, “It's been almost 10 years since my last album came out. I knew for my next one I needed to allocate enough time to properly focus and craft something exceptional that lives up to my standards. On Telos, I had the honor of working with some of my musical heroes, best friends, and favorite new artists. I can confidently say that I have made my best album yet.”
