beabadoobee Releases New Song “Beaches”
Filipino-British singer-songwriter beabadoobee will release her upcoming third studio album “This Is How Tomorrow Moves” this Friday (August 9th) via Dirty Hit.
From the album, she released the fourth and final single called “Beaches” on August 7, 2024.
She has teased the song since last month, and finally released it along with a music video.
The track was written by Beatrice Laus, and produced by Rick Rubin, and Jacob Bugden.
The accompanying video was directed by Jake Erland.
beabadoobee shared on social media, “The last single to 'This Is How Tomorrow Moves', my fave song off the album!! At the end of the day I feel most sure when I'm playing with the people I love.”
She continued, “beaches was the only song in the record I wrote in shangri la, the rest I wrote on my couch at home with my guitar. I hope in some way you can relate to my vulnerability in this record, in a way writing this was necessary in order to understand the way tomorrow moves and I guess i'm still figuring that out but that's okay.”- The new album is her first LP in two years since the 2022 album “Beatopia” and comprises a 14-track.
beabadoobee record the album with producer Jacob Bugden and Rick Rubin at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California.
beabadoobee said of the album in a statement, “I love this album. I feel like it's helped me so much more than anything else has in navigating this new era, this new understanding of where I'm at. I guess it's about becoming a woman.” -
She continued, “I think I'm more aware of my actions in these songs. In my previous records, I would consistently sing about my reaction towards other people's doings, like a blame game.”
She added, “But in this record, it's accepting that there's an inevitability of my fault in there too. Whether it's childhood trauma or relationship issues, it takes two to tango in everything.” - source : Apple Music
