  • Nice Biscuit Releases New Song “Fade Away”

  • Australian psych rock band Nice Biscuit, consisting of Billie Star (vocals), Grace Cuell (vocals), Nick Cavendish (bass), Jess Ferronato (guitar) and Kurt Melvin (drums), released the third single called “Fade Away” from their upcoming sophomore album “SOS” on August 7, 2024.

THe new album is set to be released on October 4, 2024.
The track was written by Billie Star, Grace Cuell, Jess Ferronato, Kurt Melvin, and Nick Cavendish. Produced by Jess Ferronato.

The band co-frontwoman Grace Cuell said of the song, “Both Billie and I have the kind of people-pleasing tendencies that land us in trouble from time to time. This song is about accepting that sometimes you just have nothing to give, and that's ok!”

The accompanying music video was directed by Dan Macarthur and Mel Poole.
The band said, “We wanted the video to emulate the feeling of burn out and desire to get away from life in a fun way.”
  • The new album comprises a 9-track, which was written and recorded at Swan Pond Studios over a 6 month period.
It is the final album with the band's original guitarist and producer, Jess Ferronato.
The album is about finding calm and balance in our chaotic world.

The band said of the album, “Sometimes we feel hopeful and grateful, sometimes pessimistic and desolate, sometimes mournful and angry at the system, sometimes we feel that love can solve it all and sometimes we just become overwhelmed and apathetic about everything.”

  • The band explained their recording process of the album, “The boys laid down the foundations of the songs on the weekend prior and then Billie and Grace would head out to add vocals and write lyrics. Often we would not have the lyrics or melodies finished before going out there, which allowed more focus and energy to be poured into the instrumentation and vocals. It fostered greater creativity and space by doing it separately and felt like a fun back and forth between the two groups, being excited to share what we have created. Then in the weeks after we got together and added more synth and percussion parts.”
