Sam Smith & Alicia Keys Perform “I'm Not The Only One” at Jungle City Studios in New York
British singer-songwriter Sam Smith teamed up with American singer-songwriter Alicia Keys to perform “I'm Not The Only One” at Jungle City Studios in New York.
Both artists recorded the song to celebrate 10 years of Sam Smith's debut studio album “In the Lonely Hour”.
The single of the new version was released on August 2, 2024.
This marks the first collaboration between Sam Smith and Alicia Keys.
The live video was directed by Ava Rikki.
“I'm Not The Only One” was released as the second single from Sam Smith's debut album in 2014.
The track was written by James Napier and Sam Smith, and produced by Jimmy Napes, Steve Fitzmaurice
Alicia Keys said in a statement, “I LOVED working on this with Sam! And for such a special moment! It's been on both of our wishlists! The vibe was super intimate. We recorded it at my studio in New York. My son Egypt played Sam some keys and my son Genesis was telling jokes the whole time. Sam Smith released the 10th anniversary edition of their debut album “I'm Not The Only One” back in May.
The new version comprises a 20-track, featuring guest appearances from Mary J. Blige, A$AP Rocky, John Legend, and Alicia Keys.
Sam Smith said of the album, “Revisiting the start of my career has been the most incredible experience. I will always be the most proud of In The Lonely Hour as it was my first baby steps into music. I listen back to the album now and it feels like looking back at old photos, a mix of emotions, but I love the record and I still love singing these songs so much.
