Kacey Musgraves Premieres New Song “Arm's Length” on BBC Radio 1
American country music singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves premiered a new song “Arm's Length” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is featured on the extended edition of her sixth studio album “Deeper Well” called “Deeper Well: Deeper Into The Well”, which was released on August 2, 2024.
The track was written by Josh Osborne, Kacey Musgraves, Sarah Buxton, and Shane McAnally. Produced by Daniel Tashian, Ian Fitchuk, and Kacey Musgraves.
Kacey Musgraves told Jack Saunders about the song, “I'm really excited for people to hear this really just comes from a very personal and honest place. And it's really about being in love with someone who sort of just kind of keeps you as the title says at Arm's Length and I love getting to know someone I love, just true intimacy and there's a lot of people out there that are terrified of that.”- She continued, “I think it's the newest one out of the batch, and that usually feels right for me. It feels most exciting in a way. It was like the last thing that you wrote, but it's really where my head was at most recently. But I love all these songs so much. And I guess if The Well went a little bit deeper, so to speak, this is where you'd end up.”

The extended edition “Deeper Well: Deeper Into The Well” comprises a 21-track, including the original 14 songs and seven new songs, featuring guest appearances from American singer-songwriter Leon Bridges and American folk-pop vocal trio Tiny Habits.
Kacey Musgraves said of the album, “There's some fun, like, kind of some summer bop energy going on. We go really deep and introspective on some tracks. I've got some really fun features. Leon Bridges is on a song, and a group on there, also that I love so much, called Tiny Habits. And their harmonies are just stunning. It's these three different voices, but they come together in such a like intimate and beautiful way, and they're so so good.”
