Jelly Roll Releases New Song “Liar”
American country music singer-songwriter Jelly Roll released a new song “Liar” on August 2, 2024.
The song is the second single off of his upcoming tenth album, following “I Am Not Okay” released back in June.
Earlier this year, he told Taste of Country Nights about the new song releasing, “I felt like it was important to start the new era of music at the ACMs because we had done 'Save Me' there. We launched me and Lainey there. I think that as we're celebrating 'Halfway to Hell' going No. 1, it's kind of the end of the Whitsitt Chapel era. I don't even know if we're going to put 'Liar' out. I'm still on the fence about it,”
But he finally released the song.
He first performed the song at the Grand Ole Opry back in April. Followed by, he performed the song at the 2024 ACM Awards.
The track was written by Ashley Gorley, Ben Johnson, Jason Deford, and Taylor Phillips. Produced by Zach Crowell.- The new album (yet-untitled) is expected to be released later this year.
Jelly Roll told Taste of Country about the new album, “There's a lot of storytelling on this out. I wrote probably 100 and some songs last year, maybe 150 Plus, trying to figure this album out. I've never been more inspired though. I was getting so many stories. People were pouring into me. They were telling me there. I mean, I'm at gas stations and red carpets and I'm hearing life stories from people and really inspiring stories. So I've never been more, I've never wrote more.” - source : Apple Music
