Kimbra Releases New Song “Keen” featuring DRAM
New York-based New Zealand singer-songwriter Kimbra will release her upcoming fifth studio album “Idols & Vices (Vol. 1)” on September 25, 2024.
She is currently releasing one song each week until the album's release, and so far, five singles have been released.
Following five songs, she released the sixth single called “Keen” on July 31, 2024.
This time, she teamed up with American rapper DRAM on the track.
The track was written by Dan Edinberg, Kimbra, and Shelley Massenburg-Smith. Produced by Dan Edinberg and Kimbra.
The accompanying animated video was created by Greg Sharp, who also animated for the previous songs for “Demi God”, “Stuff I Don't Need”, “Force Field”, and “Tethers”.
Kimbra said of the song, “I just dropped a new song, ya'll! The song is called “Keen” and it features the one and only DRAM. Fun fact! Some of you will remember a tour I did years ago where I brought “The Stepkids” out as my opening band. I actually wrote this song with the bass player and production extraordinaire, Dan Edinberg.
Personally, I'm obsessed with the vibe this track. We wrote the whole thing in exactly 4 hours. No exaggerations, but I'll tell you all about that another time...”- The new album is her first collaborative album and comprises a 14-track, featuring guest appearances from Sahtyre, BANKS, Tommy Raps, Ivy Sole, Fatboi Sharif, Le'Asha, DRAM, Dawn Richard, and Taylor Graves.
The album features otherworldly visuals, created by Greg Sharp, for every song on the record.
