Charli xcx & Billie Eilish Team Up for New Remix of “Guess”
British singer-songwriter Charli xcx teamed up with American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish to release a new remix of “Guess” on August 1, 2024.
This marks the first collaboration between Charli xcx and Billie Eilish.
Back in 2017, Charli xcx shared on social media, “I was speaking with Billie eillish [sic] about doing something. But we just couldn't find the right song. I absolutely love her. She's sooooo f-cking intelligent and her voice makes me melt.” Finally, they collaborated.
The original version of the song is featured on Charli xcx's sixth studio album “Brat” deluxe edition.
The track was written by Billie Eilish O'Connell, Charlotte Aitchison, Dylan Brady, Finneas O'Connell, and Harrison Patrick Smith. Produced by FINNEAS and The Dare.
The accompanying music video was directed by Aidan Zamiri.- Billie Eilish said of the song, “I was really nervous, because I haven't worked with anyone but Finneas in six years, and I hated it back in the day.”
Her brother and producer FINNEAS added, “Billie was sitting and telling me why she loved this one artist, and we were watching their music videos together and I know them, and I was texting them like, 'We're sitting here watching your stuff, it's so good.' They were like, 'I'm in L.A.' I was like, 'You want to do a day?'” -
According to a press release, all of bras and underwear used in the video were donated to I Support The Girls, which collects and distributes essential items people experiencing homelessness, impoverishment or distress.
