  • After performing four song, Kehlani said, “I want to take a second to say: Free Palestine. Free Congo. Free Sudan. Free Yemen. Free Hawaii. Free Guam. It's deeper than this. I need everybody that's here right now, everybody that's watching, to step up, to use their voices.”

“After Hours” is featured on their fourth studio album “Crash”, which was released 0n June 21, 2024 via Atlantic Records.
The song was released as the first single from the album back in April and samples Nina Sky's 2004 single “Move Ya Body” featuring Jabba.

  • Kehlani said of the song, “One of my favorite songs of all time, but also just like to be outside is -no pun intended- is 'Move Ya Body' by Nina Sky and I remember walking around the house like 'Why has nobody sampled [this]?' Because those drums are so recognizable and everybody just loses it. It's one of those things where it drops and everybody goes, 'Woo,' and bends their knees and puts their hands on their knees.”

They “continued, Coming out of this pandemic to global tragedy to global tragedy to global tragedy, I was like I'm not really in a space to make something that feels super jarring or super sad. I'm very outspoken about these things, but I want my art to provide some kind of life and fun. I wanna hear this outside and I wanna feel good.”
