Puma June Releases New Song “Never Satisfied”
Toronto-based singer-songwriter Puma June released a brand new song called “Never Satisfied” on July 26, 2024.
The song is the second single off of her upcoming debut EP, which is expected to be released in 2024.
On the track, she worked with producer Markov, who also produced her previous song “My Body, My Problem”.
Many of us go down a certain lifepath because of fear or other people's expectations of us.
The song speaks to dissatisfaction that many of us can feel and relate to.
Puma June said of the song, “I wrote this song about the life I want for myself vs the life of stability (and money) that the world tells me to want. I work as a nurse (my “day job”) and as much as I love parts of it, I had a moment of realization that I will never truly feel happy at the end of a day if I am not creating and making music and living my truth. This song is a reminder to me that nothing matters more, and that I have the power to live whatever life I choose. Never Satisfied is for everyone who feels that tug of war within themselves.”- She added in a statement, “I spent so much time being afraid of music and what my life might look like if I pursued it and this song is a reminder to me that nothing matters as long as I am doing what makes me happy. It is a reminder of how far I have come in prioritizing my dreams and joy above all else.”
